One of the best Thai food I've had outside of Thailand! If you're in the CBD and would like a delicious Thai meal come and try this place on 413 Pitt St near the corner of Goulburn St. You can't miss it the shop front is set up with various sweet and savory Thai snacks. Service and atmosphere is terrific it will definitely take you back to Bangkok.
We ordered pineapple fried rice served in a hollowed out ripe pineapple, soft shell crab, barbecue chicken and green curry with duck. All up it cost $120 for 3people. Well worth it and definitely worth coming back to.
Very nice authentic Thai food !
Had pineapple fried rice, Pad Thai and creamy Tom yum and it was very filling for 4 pax. We also had two drinks, watermelon blend and lychee mint. But it is very crowded and you will have to wait. The table is also small, but the plates are huge so take note.
Loved the vibe of this place! Anytime you go to a restaurant and it makes you feel like you are in that country is a good thing. Bucket of beer resonably priced and we didnt get the dreaded "after dinner thirst" which can be a result of delicious asian food. Two thumbs up from me
Authentic Thai food
Big menu varieties, there's something for everyone. Fast service and they have live music too at dinner time ( not sure if this is every night, I was there on Thursday evening)
Very nice food, very crowded and got a small table so you have limited space if you want to try a couple different dishes. The staff were friendly and helpful, we will be back again for the food when we go back to Sydney next time.
Food tastes so so. Still lack of flavour. Best dish for me is kangkung wt pork belly (spicier would be better). Tom saap soup lack of herbs, but the ribs really soft & tender. Steamed fish aint fresh. Crying tiger too well done; dipping sauce is not spicy enough
Upon entering the restaurant, the sight of almost every seat occupied initially seemed promising—a potential indicator of the establishment's popularity and quality. With anticipation, I explored the extensive menu and ultimately decided on the red duck curry paired with a side of sticky rice.
The coconut cream and curry paste melded well, and the accompanying vegetables were skillfully prepared. However, the dining experience took a downturn with the duck. Instead of the expected duck breast, my plate contained pieces riddled with cartilage, rendering them overcooked and chewy. The unmistakable pre-cooked flavor suggested a lack of freshness, detracting from the overall enjoyment of the dish.
To compound matters, the sticky rice arrived steaming in a plastic bag. Instantly, concerns about potential health hazards and environmental impact surfaced—conjuring images of plastic melting or releasing harmful chemicals when exposed to high heat. This, coupled with the negative ecological connotation, left a palpable discomfort.
Regrettably, these factors prompted a deduction of 2 stars from my rating: one for the unconventional presentation of rice in a plastic bag and another for the subpar quality of the duck—overcooked, lacking freshness, and burdened with cartilage. While the service was commendable and the staff friendly, the $32 price tag for a plate featuring these portion sizes seemed disproportionate, especially when compared to other establishments offering more satisfying alternatives, much better quality and cheaper. In conclusion, the dining experience was underwhelming, and I have no plans to return anytime soon.
We had a lovely dinner accompanied by live music. The restaurant was still full even we came after 8pm. Service was friendly and fast. We had prawn tomyum, papaya salad, fish floss with mango salad, chicken wings and two steam rice. The food was delicious. The ambiance was relaxing and we really enjoying our dining moment especially listening to the singer with his guitar. He has a good voice. We spent $90 for all those food, without drink or dessert cuz we were too full.
